This was one of my most memorable days of painting at East Ruston Old Vicarage. When I saw this perfectly pink flower bed with the floating Sanguisorba hakusanensis Lilac Squirrel, dancing above it. I was entranced. I started painting with the sun peaking back and forth between the clouds and then came the down pour of rain. I retreated into the nearby greenhouse to carry on painting, by this time I was rather damp as you will see by the picture of me.
