Lilac Squirrel, The Dahlia Boarder, East Ruston Old Vicarage - Original Painting

September is my favourite month.  It is a time of year, when some of the boarders, that are bursting with flowers, get a little blousy.  This is the Dahlia boarder that sits next to the Jubilee garden.  It was such a riot of plants and flowers that I was delighted to gradually work my way through the painting, whilst savouring the party of flowers that was seeing out the very last of the summer.  Thank you Alan and the gardeners, it fabulous.
